Inter-Schools (Primary Level)
We currently work with seven primary schools, Each Autumn we hold a competition between the schools, these range from stories to poems to art this is in a effort to create awareness of the other schools, In Spring time we do a project on some element of Culture in their community, In the past we introduced the schools to some of the new cultures that have come to live in Ireland.
This year we are focusing on the our own local communities, places of interest etc,
In the autumn og 2011 we held an art competition titled “My Community” and we will follow on with this theme in spring 2012 when we will visit Churches and community buildings of interest with the pupils whi will do projects based on them, this will evolve into a page on our website.
All of the schools in both areas are very supportive of the work.
